Yoga with Veronika
Discover the Bliss of Yoga and Travel
Welcome to Yoga with Veronika. I’m Veronika — a yoga teacher, retreat leader and travel planner, dividing my time between Athens and Santorini, Greece.
Yoga and travel have shaped most of my adult life. I started working in tourism during my university years, later lived in Asia, and eventually made Greece my home. For 15 years, Caveland in Santorini was my yoga home — a former winery turned hostel that I ran with my husband and where I taught countless classes and hosted retreats. These days, I return to the island for the summer to teach yoga and lead retreats, while in Athens you’ll find me teaching private and small group classes in the city centre.
When I’m not teaching or planning travels, you’ll probably find me jogging, hiking, cooking, eating out or reading. I’m also a mum of two children and one dog — perhaps my greatest teachers in patience, flexibility and staying present.
50% Yoga Teacher
My yoga journey started in Boracay in 2009, and I have been teaching for over 15 years. I completed a 500-hour teacher training with Jason Crandell, a Birthlight diploma in perinatal yoga, and further training in Hatha, Flow, Yin, Strong Yoga and Tune Up Fitness therapy balls. I teach Slow Flow, Strong Yoga and Hatha, combining mindful movement and alignment with strength work. Yoga with Veronika is all about mindful movement, strength and a down-to-earth approach to yoga, with plenty of attention to the foundations and a gradual, step-by-step progression towards more challenging poses.
50% Travel Planner
Travel has been part of my work for more than 20 years. Today, I co-own a travel agency in Greece and work as a travel advisor and experience planner, creating personalised trips and experiences, organising my own retreats, and helping other retreat leaders plan their retreats in Greece. After many years living and working in Greece — and being married to a licensed tour guide — I know the country from the inside. I love finding beautiful places to stay, memorable local experiences, and those little details that turn a trip into something special.
