I’m so happy that I decided to do yoga at Caveland with Veronika. It was a great experience practicing twice a day on a terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea. The classes were suitable for all levels and very mindful.

I booked a private early morning beach yoga lesson with Veronika and it was brilliant. Veronika was very friendly and approachable. She has a lovely teaching style and I felt totally energised after our session.

Veronika is an amazing, very experienced yoga instructor. My family had two classes on the pool deck in our villa. It was a very nice complement to our amazing stay in Santorini. Highly recommend !!

ABOUT ME
Here are few words about me. I am Veronika and yoga is my passion. I live in Santorini in Greece. Together with my husband Kostas we manage a beautiful property called Caveland. This is where I have my outdoor yoga terrace. Here I teach my yoga classes and the retreats in Santorini.
I attended my first yoga class in Boracay Island in the Philippines, I fell in love with the practice. This happened in 2009. Afterwards I started my regular practice at Yoga 109 in Shanghai (China)– a great studio of Lorraine Aronson.
Early in 2012, I attended a yoga teacher training at The Mindful Academy of Kathy Ward in Spain and became a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200) . Consequently my certification is also in yoga therapy. Needless to say that this is where my yoga journey as a teacher began.
Having two kids myself made me more curious about the human body and mind, its changes and amazing development. As a result in 2013 I completed Yoga for kids training with Rainbow Kids Yoga. After that I started my training with Birthlight organisation. In a spam of 7 years I completed a diploma in perinatal yoga (pre and post natal yoga), baby and toddler yoga. Over the years I certainly have taught many happy Mums and babies.
Every year I try to broaden my education in yoga. So that is what led me to numerous seminars in therapeutic yoga through Yoga Maze, Yin yoga training with Josh Summers or an Arm balances & Inversions course with Jason Crandell.
In November 2022 I finished an advanced 500-hours yoga teacher training with Jason Crandell.
Mostly what resonates within me during my practice are the words of an amazing yoga teacher Oona Giensen. I had a chance to take a short training with her in past. As she says — “less is sometimes more”.
My yoga classes in Santorini are inspired by hatha yoga and flow. They combine active poses, breathing techniques and centering exercises. My attention is on mindfulness and body awareness. Most importantly, it is your holiday! That is to say, when on the mat with me, please take your time to unwind and be careless! And of course-smile!
I teach my group classes in Caveland. The yoga terrace is outdoors, it is sheltered from the strong sun and has a great view of Fira town, Karterados village and Aegean sea. In the winter we practice inside one of our caves. Caveland is a former 19th century winery, since early 80ties it was used as a hotel. In 20111 we re-opened Caveland with my husband as boutique hostel with dorms and private caves, too.
Karterados is about 5 minutes drive/25 min walk from Fira town. Coming from Fira town, port or an airport, please ask the bus or a taxi driver to stop you at the fork at Multimedia market/ Zotos bakery. Leaving Fira town behind you there you take the downhill road on your left and continue all the way down for about 5-7 minutes. You will pass a police station, a windmill, 2 mini markets. Still continue all the way downhill until you see on the right side of the road Maistros Village. Walk a little further down until you see the Caveland sign on the left side of the road, just before Villa Pelekanos.
